I've been a fan of KORN and Head was always my favorite ❤ my best friend for years was crystal meth and just 4 months ago, God saved me. 132 days ago I died for 4 minutes and was in a coma for 3 weeks. I spent 28 days in the hospital and when I got out, I was a completely different person. I am a child of God and I promised to be a good mom to my boys and I promise to be good to God's children including myself. I’m not a big religion guy but I do believe in people and positive thinking. I do believe if you cut the evil out of your life and embrace the live and the positivity amazing things can happen. I don't listen to any music from American/Australia etc etc (worldly) anymore as I got totally serious about God and I do t even watch "tv shows or movies" anymore as it's all a totally Satanic industry and I'm not going to friggin hell or giving up in Jesus for any 🤡 clown. Changed my whole life and I'm thankful to God every day, seen so many of these "pop stars/movie stars" etc who have a "fling/..one nighter" with God like little girls and walk away cause they can't handle the life, really sad, I pray for them all but I sit back now thinking to myself as I'm almost 40 "I wished I never wasted my life" listening to: Korn/P.O.D./Linkin Park/Limp Bizkit and all the rest of the trash, wasted good years on listening and paying for "utter rubbish" ..but.. Mr Welch, Have you ever had an itch where you couldnt itch it because of timing..circumstances? I'm was the same way. I'm 54 yrs and Thankful. Born in the Bay in Cali, Been a Metalhead since 84', I had my mom telling me I possessed for listening and the Metal posters on my wall, getting an A+ in art class for my "Piece Of Mind" drawing. I was basically banned from Metal in my area, even the bands they tried to shut us down, the whole pmrc, and other organizations. I got saved after literally dabbling in paganism, seen actual spirits haunt me, wasn't cool, never will be! Even slit my wrists and almost died, didn't even know how I woke up in a hospital w/nurses abd cops around me, I was drinking 2-3 bottles of whiskey, plus cases of beer a week, went on a fkn beer and whiskey tour, must've tried every one!, sometimes a full handle, plus tons of weed on top of all that. Though I wrote some killer songs from those emotions, I go back and read the lyrics and see how dark things really were! Born again now, a guy Doug on the night shift I worked asked if he could pray for me one morning as I was leaving, and he gave me a Bible, invited me to his church. I still can't stop and won't stop listening to My Metal Brothers like: MachineHead, Korn/Brian Welch, Evergrey, and others. Some things like "Highway" from AC/DC and "Number" by Iron Maiden I feel some evil presence from, can't listen to certain tracks, alot of Slayer's stuff, though I love those guys and Respect them. Just can't keep the door cracked, that haunting stuff you see on tv shows, Yeeeah, it's fricken Real!! Will I ever stop being a MetalHead? Not a chance EVER! There IS Metal in Heaven!..maybe just without the horns. To me the Metal horn Mean Kickass METAL and only just that, everything is Nothing until You give it life and energy, make it Good energy! Headed into some Christian Metal nowadays, but still like Jamming any Good Metal. Still need to perform/sing, play all the hundreds or thousands of my songs I wrote since 84'..got set the darkness free! We will always sin at some point, there ain't no saints left on earth. Jesus took to the cross to give us Repentance/Forgiveness, a chance. Thank You Jesus! By the way Y'all. Jesus Was a Rocker!✝️🙏 🤘🏻😇

the love passage! yes that's a very good one. i've commented before on another account but i'm still scared that there are homophobic christian musicians... and i'm sure they are... maybe you are too but i will continue to lie to myself because i love korn with all my heart. but ya i wish that there would be some sort of progressive metal or gothic christian singer who believes that being lgbt isn't a sin... this is like the greatest problem i have because music is my everything after Jesus, and I'm lgbt.

Though I cannot relate with the fame, money, and drugs, I had a strong encounter with Christ during my conversion. As a new baby Christian, my head just had to catch up with where my heart and emotions were. I was definitely overzealous for the Lord. Not a bad thing, but my walk is much more reasonable now that I can articulate the Gospel message with clarity.

Brian idk if you’ll see this, but I’m bout to right a whole giant story about how much you have influenced my life. So I became a Christian about summer 2020, left my friend group behind, similar to you, to follow Christ. Well I kinda fell off after a while and fell back into sin and stuff. So with all my friends pretty much gone and my faith in Christ pretty low, I just started feeling really hopeless about my future. It’s like I had a nice life but I didn’t have anything that I really connected with. Then fast forward to like march 2023, I started getting into “numetal” and listened to the major bands like Deftones, Linkin Park, and Limp Bizkit, but never really gave KoRn a chance. (I grew up around KoRn though, my late dad was a teen when KoRn was really blowing up back in the late 90s early 00s) so I knew about you guys but never really listened to you. I have 2 specific memories about KoRn when I was younger. 1st one was, my dad and I were in the living room and he turned on Blind. And he said that it was the heaviest music he’s ever heard when it first came out. And the 2nd memory was we were in the kitchen, and ball tongue was playing and I remember so clearly asking him “how do you like this, it’s so weird!” So anyway, it’s about May of 2023 and I was getting burnt out by all my current music and so I turned on Freak on a Leash. I figured let’s give KoRn an honest chance, then once the “GO!” Riff hit, I was hooked instantly. The way it hit with a subwoofer in my car, just gave me the fattest goosebumps ever. And so I started delving into your guys’ music and REALLLY liked it. Like not just a band wagon thing, like it just hit the nail on the head. And one night I was watching the Got the Life video, and right before the 1st chorus hit, I saw you start shaking your breads and like head bobbing and I thought to myself “that guy is so cool” and so basically I started getting really into KoRn and when I found out that YOU were the one who became Christian, I was like “this guy can’t get any cooler” and now i have to say you are such an inspiration to me. And i think you were a really big role in really making me go back to Christ. I’m seeing you guys live later this year and I really hope to meet you hopefully lol anyway keep it up man, and keep writing heavy riffs 🔥
